If you click on his images can you get a higher resolution picture? I see no obvious red flags so far, but it is hard to be certain about anything with these lower resolution photos. Be aware that the case design limits you to only using this particular Omega bracelet. You won't be able to wear it on a strap.

Do you like the watch, and the styling? I don't think the price is particularly high or particularly low. It is not a highly collectable model at this stage. Plan to pay a few hundred to have it serviced and get the crystal replaced. If the movement checks out and the watch stands up to more careful scrutiny with higher resolution photos and you like it, I would say go for it. However, this isn't a deal that is too good to pass up. If you aren't excited about this watch, I would be patient.

Thanks for your reply wagudc, sadly thats the best resolution ive got, he said hes had it serviced twice in 15 years he has had it and rarely wears it, i like the face its very clean but so so about the band and shape but I guess will have to see what it will look like in person and on my wrist. He will send me a picture of the movement today 馃榾

Looks like a reference 366-0842, mid to late 1970s.

If you aren't wild about it don't buy it, you can't change the bracelet on these.

The only service date, that matters to you, is the last one. If it's 7.5 years ago, factor in a service for ~ A$ 300.ake sure, that band is long enough for your wrist. Finding extra links can be a nightmare. I would expect the center second and minute hand to reach the minute dots....keep negotiating. A$550 sounds better..... Kind regards. Achim

If it really has a 1010 movement, I am pretty sure this is the watch. It is the only Seamaster in the Omega vintage page with that style bracelet. Although Omega's site is not 100% complete.

https://www.omegawatches.com/en-us/watch-omega-seamaster-omega-st-366-0862

Dates to 1979-1981

EDIT: I was wrong, the correct reference did not come up because it also sometimes came with a 1012 movement. Omega's site is annoying, if you search on 1010 movement a watch which had a 1010 or 1012 will not come up. @X350 XJR had it right.
