Help with this Omega 601, please!!

Hello, a friend wants to sell me this Omega, which belonged to his father.
But I would like to know how to identify if it is fake or not?
I took these photos, but it was difficult for me to find information on the web.
It appears to be a caliber 601.
I would like to know the opinion of someone who really knows.

I have concerns about this watch.

1. Here is the Omega Vintage Database listing for case reference 14702:

This should be an early Geneve model with an automatic movement. Not what I’m seeing here.

2. The bracelet looks to be an original Omega piece, but probably not the one that went with this watch when new.

I would recommend staying away from this one unless it was very inexpensive. My fear is that it is a frankenwatch, put together from pieces of other Omega watches.

The value they are asking for this watch is USD 200.
In your personal opinion, what would you do?

That does fall into the inexpensive category, assuming that it runs ….
