I do not think Omega, even in its worst years, has ever used a plastic movement spacer for a tiny movement.

I have seen one like this before, but can’t for the life of me remember where. Wherever it was, there was also a discussion about the likelihood that the watch left Switzerland with such a small movement in such a big spacer.

I don't know if Archer was actually weighing in on the OP's watches correctness, just that Omega did use some big spacers and tiny movements.
