Hello! I found another watch at home it is Omega seamaster calendar its vintage but i dont know the date i want to know if it is rare and how much is worth it.
Looks to be a 14k goldcap.. Late 50's to early 60's ?. You need to open the watch up for more exact information. Aftermarket crown.
thank you i found some similar watches on ebay but with gold back for 6000$ is there a lot of difference inn price and rarity.
Very big difference, a gold back usually indicates the case is solid gold, yours is stainless steel with a gold cap, which is much more common than a solid gold case.
Here is your watch on the Omega Vintage Database - https://www.omegawatches.com/planet-omega/heritage/vintage-details/14462/ It is not rare in any metal. The solid gold versions are more expensive because they are, well, solid gold. If the band is solid gold, it would likely be worth more in melt value than the watch. Please look for "Omega Seamaster Calendar Ref. 2849" on eBay. gatorcpa
If bracelet is in 18k gold, it might be worth more than watch. Value of watch in that condition (dial not in good condition, aftermarket crown...) is not more than $500. Peire06
For the head only, I'd say you can knock a '0' off and then some. The value of the bracelet is entirely in the gold content (if any).
How do you find an Omega watch in your home?? I try for years to find one in my home ( except those I bought it myself) and can't find any? ...you are very lucky
