    Hey all,

First time poster, first time Omega owner and first time vintage watch owner here--I'm stoked about all three! I'm hoping some of the knowledgeable members of this community might be able to help me out with some information about my new watch. This watch was a gift from my wife, purchased from an online dealer in Argentina. The dealer indicated the watch was serviced a couple of months ago. I won't post the amount she paid until I know for sure she/we didn't get fleeced completely (I'm okay with being fleeced a little).

I'm hoping for information about date of manufacture, whether the watch appears to be a franken-watch (what appears to be original and what not), general thoughts about value and any other useful information that might be good for a first time Omega owner. I'll apologize in advance for the state of the pictures--I did my best.

    Thanks very much all!!

Mid 1940s model which has been heavily restored. Case polished and dial redone. Nice looking watch but no longer of great interest to a collector I am sorry to say. I think it likely you did get fleeced unfortunately. At resale that would likely fetch a few hundred $ but not from a collector as I say.

Thank you both for your input. I really appreciate it! Mark020, what gives you doubt about recent servicing? I'm not questioning your thought, just curious about the basis. Thanks again to both you and padders!!
