I have this vintage omega constellation which i have inherited and then serviced at a official omega service center with some new parts. It would be nice to know exactly what this model is called and which year it was produced. Also im having trouble finding a watch that looks exactly like this as it has a silver casing with a Gold watch dial. Is this some rare model or is the watch face just replaced? Answers are highly appreciated!
very nice cross-hair pie-pan circa 1960s possibly a cal 551 sorry cal 561 but would need to see the movement.
It looks a 168.004, but I have never seen nothing similar. I think that someting is wrong. Looks the movement, dial and crown of a gold watch ensambled in a steel case.
Usually people search steel cases for movement, dial and hands scrapped from melted gold cases. It is strange to put dial, crown and hands from a gold watch in a legit steel case watch.
Posted this the other day Later 168.010 But all correct ( have box and papers) No inner gold ring though
what's the use of black duco hands with a luminous dial??? you see the dots un the dark but not the hands??? For me hands are not original.
Given the SS medallion - correct for the SS case It looks like someone has perhaps put a gold crystal ring on the watch and matched a replacement crown to complete the look They could have been original spec but I've not seen one Both easy to fix if required but if you like it keep it this way Lots of these 'hidden crown' Connies have slightly protruding crowns - not sure if they are all replacements ( BTW they are impossible to wind!) The hands could be re lumed but I'd leave them as original - shows the age of the watch The dial looks as though it has just mellowed to this colour Hope that helps
Thanks! I also think that´s what has been done to this watch. I really like the look of this watch so i don't think i will replace anything. It´s really simple and elegant.
