Hello everyone, planning to get my first vintage Omega watch and came across this one on eBay... what are everyone's thoughts on it? It's refinished, cleaned and serviced... looks clean... does it look legitimate? Seems hard to find a 166.0167 casing with a 1010 movement. Thanks for everyone's help.

Hi and welcome. What issues do you see given your initial research?

I understand from the posting that the dial and hands been refinished and it looks like a nice job so I'm ok with that, but it's just that I can't seem to find much mention of a 166.0167 casing, especially with a 1010 movement and a grey dial anywhere online. My main concern is whether a model like that truly existed and if it's at least authentic. Thanks!

Thanks for being more specific. You said it yourself, the dial is probably (to me) a reprint, making the question if it is accurate or not more or less unimportant to most. I don't understand why you care about accuracy, but not authenticity.

Thanks Jay, I didn't really care if the original components are retouched/repainted, as long as the old parts are authentic themselves. Didn't expect you to understand but thanks for your input!
