Good evening everyone - a friend of mine has picked up this Seamaster and sent me a picture asking if I thought it was real.
I know the pic is awful but it looks fine to me and apparently it 'bumps' nicely (worryingly for her :) )
    I'm thinking mid '50's - am I close enough?

Previous (before married) girlfriends have always told me they found sailors as unreliable and often gone for long periods. Consider

Oh....., Well there is no picture visible OK, it is now visible.

Real, yes. I've never seen a counterfeit Omega bumper movement.

Original? Definite replacement of crown and possible relume job. Other than that, who can tell from that photograph?

Looks like a 50's bumper to me. Can't say the dial is original or not from that pic.

Thanks chaps - I know the photo was poor so I didn't expect miracles but its nice to know that I can spot a '50's Bumper when I see one these days :)
You may see it again because she picked it up for peanuts but I don't think is intending to keep it so ..... Watch this space.
