Hey again! I just found an Omega which has obviously S marked (Seiko I guess) crown. Other than that "issue", can you help me if the case, dial & hands match somehow? The guy says that the watch came from an elderly person, and since he doesn't know how to open the caseback I can't see the movement&case ref. sadly. (If the case is not swapped) I can say that the price is quite tempting for an Omega, if it is not franken of course All photos I could get from the guy is as below.
Well... I bought it anyway "kind of" knowing that it's a franken. Price was 75 USD, so why not I'm adding the caseback and movement photos, for archival purposes Caseback opened relatively easy, but it was really dirty, which makes me think the swap happened a long time ago. Case ref: 2179 (I couldn't see any additional engravings) Movement: 30T2SC (I think?) Movement serial: 9822053 (1939 production?) Dial: Gold tone / Onyx indexes (That looks wrong) Hands: Gold tone dauphine hands (Again looks wrong, maybe correct for the dial. Second hand is) Crown: Seiko Please let me know what you think. Maybe I can find suitable dial for this case if everything else checks out?
