Hi, This is my first post here, so please let me know if the post is not up to standards. I have a couple of questions regarding a bracelet I got in a trade. The bracelet was originally fitted to a '62 SM300, and I understand this belongs to an early Speedy. The bracelet seems in decent shape. It looks like it has been polished, and it has a couple of dents and scratches. Does it look original, and what woud you say is the value? I can post more photos if necessary. Regards, Erlend
Looks like the real deal. I am not familiar with #16 end pieces. What is measurement of the end pieces?
#16 end links were the first 20mm end links, paired with a 1506 bracelet (very similar to the 7912) and used with the early 105.012 Professional Speedies and 16x.024 Seamaster 300s.
It could be a 1506 with #16 end links that someone replaced with a 7912 clasp in order to sell it for more. You should measure the width of the last links on the bracelet - on the 7912 they should be 17.5 mm, on the 1506 they are wider as they are for 20 mm endlinks/lug width. The #16's aren't right for a 7912 in any regard. Either the end links are wrong or the clasp is.
We have not seen a picture with the end pieces in place. Approximate value still yet to be determined. 17.5mm ?? Found these this morning: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rare-Origin...087467?hash=item4d55919aab:g:ltYAAOSw2gxYvn3xPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
Picture with endlinks. They are not attached, just placed there. I dont know how to attach them properly to the bracelet. The bracelet is 17,5mm on the end. The end link is 20mm.
I was afraid of that. The end links are much wider than the last links of the bracelet. I would wait for other opinions for a better evaluation of what you have.
After some consideration, i think i'll sell the bracelet, not sure about the end links since they are correct to my sm300(?). I would appreciate a estimate of a realistic value of the bracelet, i know it is'nt a easy question to answer, sorry about that. I really appreciate the help, thanks!
Stick it on eBay with plenty of pictures and all measurements if you want to sell. Best way to find its true value.
