help with a new band for my special old Seamaster

This was my dads watch that he bought new. Its a crappy picture but the case is gold plated that's chipped a bit, and face is a gold linen dial. My dad gave it to me 40 years ago and it's on my wrist more than any watch I own. The band is old and tired and needs to be replaced. I fear it may break and I could lose it. It's been on a black leather strap for its entire life, even when my dad wore it, and it looks great that way but ... looking for a change

I don't want a gold bracelet on this watch as I have other dress watches, and I want to consider an alternative to another black leather band. Can anyone make a suggestion on what options would look good on this watch.

Thanks everyone in advance for any help / input

I reached out to them and they have very low stock and won't be replenishing for a while...
What does that mean? They have 5 pages of 18mm (I assume that's what the OP is looking for).

A classic like that would go well with most strap materials and colors!

Black, burgundy or brown are more formal but I keep going back to the lighter, natural for most times.
This has been my daily wearer for years on it's favorite strap (by Kelaran).

Thanks for the link. Yes, great selection ... too bad the don't ship to Canada.
You need friends in the US.

looks very nice. Never even considered this but I definitely like yours ! Thanks

Edit on a second look, my watch is much a deeper yellow colour than yours. Not sure your band would look as good on my watch as it does on yours.

Black or dark grey perlon, if you wanted no animal hide.
