This was a thrift store type lot acquisition my brother found a while back. Due to its, IMO, very unappealing patina, I haven't thought to do anything with it. I was prompted to take another look by an old Omega thread talking about dial lacquer and how well, to my eyes, a rather inexpensive cleaning brought it back to life. (Some of course argue for the patina.) Is that what I have here? Could (should) I try to have the dial cleaned? Things got more interesting when I tried to find other examples of a sub-second Gyromatic. I only found one quite different example. Assuming mine is legit (I'll have it opened as soon as I can) my best guess is a GP cal. 19, described in a watchprosite post as "rare, with sub-second at 6." One other sub-second movement is cited there but without a GP number. So anything the group can tell me would be appreciated. Age, originality, model, etc.
