    Good day all.
Attached are pics of a 145.012 I'm considering.
The DON is a little battered but dial seems clean.
One question about the dial, is it normal for original lume to glow green? Does this indicate relume?
Seller has advised hands may not be original.

Any advise appreciated about this watch in general. Selling at £6500
    Thanks

Dial has almost certainly been relumed.

Hands might be ok. Depends if they glow like this all the time, or just for a few seconds after being charged by a light source.

    Here was my listing.

I don't think it has been relumed.
It wouldn't be the first time that I was wrong, but i'm pretty convinced its original.
    Cheers Michael

Michaels response changes my opinion slightly.

There are some current Speedmaster dealers who do everything from bend the truth, to straight up lie, in an attempt to get in on the current price fever. However, from being active on the forum over the last few years, I would not put michael E in that category and he's probably handled more Speedmasters than most people on the forum.

I'm still not totally convinced that the lume is definitely original. However, if I was weighing up my opinion based on pictures, and Michaels opinion based on seeing it in the flesh, I wouldn't be paying much attention to me!

    Thank you.
Yes I have handled/owned 100s of vintage Speedmasters but I am no expert.
The dial on this watch has thrown me, it is pretty much pristine, it looks like a new dial, the step is there etc, I know it is a correct dial.
The lume glows like crazy when exposed to a strong light but fades within 5 minutes. the luminous paint is in as good condition as the rest of the dial, I have inspected it very closely and cannot see any reason why it is not original.
I don't blame anyone for thinking it is relumed, I would probably think the same looking at the photos, but under a loupe and exposed to light it looks just perfect to me and does act like tritium.

Just for clarity the price was £4900 when I took it off of eBay, I have been wearing the watch a bit and thought I will keep this one, so in the collection it goes.
    Cheers Michael
