    Hello all.
I'm new to this forum. I inherited a 1965 Omega Seamaster DeVille from my Grandfather. It was his retirement gift from the board of management of Adam Opel AG in Germany (German General Motors subsidiary)
I had the watch serviced and pictures taken. The movement is a 562 and dates to 1965 and the case is 18K gold.
The one question that I have not been able to answer: On the dial there is a small dot below the DeVille writing. I have never seen this on another Seamaster of the same era and am curious if it signifies anything.
    Thanks for the help. Claus1.jpg IMG_0944.JPG IMG_0945.JPG

I could be wrong, but I think it may signify that its a solid gold dial.

That's a very nice watch, if XJR is right then it has yet another trait setting it apart from the garden variety seamaster.

Interesting. Didn't know they made solid gold dials.
