The child in your avatar looks quite unhappy about your watch hobby...

I’m picturing the looks on their faces when they see the watch...

Skeptical, not angry. Angry comes later. :)

"ALL ORIGINAL CONDITION", well except for the refinished dial, wrong crown and polished case...

Yes, thanks very much. That got scary for a minute. Yikes.
I noticed the polished case. Just for my edification, what do you spot with the crown and redial?
    Thanks again!

Can't spot a refinished dial, wrong crown and polished case without photos.

I imagine an original crown would have the Omega symbol on it?

Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Most crowns after early 1950s had an Ω, but some didn't. It's also the shape and size of the crown that defines "correct" for a specific model, not just having an Ω.

And then we get into counting teeth on the crown to see if it's original or a service replacement. Not that we're pedantic or anything :D.

I love how the awesome spray-job on this dial splattered onto the hour markers and AML

Hey, give him a break, it's not a bad job for a rattle can of sparkle silver.
