Hi Can you guys who know about these early Omegas cast a glance over this one? I'm looking for a birth year watch and this has huge appeal to me. The issue I have is that I cant find another Omega with the same style numerals. The ref is 2214/3, serial on movement is10331871 I don't know the calibre TIA Geoff
Caliber is probably a 30T2PC 15 17 P, serial puts it between 1945 and 1947. Just based on the dial picture I think the dial is original and has had the radium removed from the numerals and hands. Movement is not shock protected but looks to be in reasonable condition considering the case isn't water resistant.
I thought that the "PC" implied the incabloc shock-protected variation. Is that not correct? http://ranfft.de/cgi-bin/bidfun-db.cgi?10&1zenoshop&b0&2uswk&Omega_30_3
This dial is original movement is a 30 T2 and looks good so if you like it and the price is right go for it
Pretty thorough list. I don't see this one shared often. How precise do you think it is? I'd like to use it as reference if it's got a tighter range than others I've seen. Thank you.
Cant say for sure, an extract will tell The "original" has fault in the low numbers 1915-1945 https://omegaforums.net/attachments/omega-jpg.132039/
