    Hey,
I'm hoping the braintrust can help me with this. I recently purchased a 1116/575 bracelet for my 145.022-69. End links are 575 and clasp reads "1116" and has the number "31". Both of which I think are correct. However, there seems to be too little taper between the end link and the bracelet. As if it goes from 20mm to 18mm. I've only owned one of these before but I thought I remembered there being a strong taper. Before I attempt to return to seller, can someone help confirm if there are links missing towards the top? Appreciate any info. Thanks

It may be a 1098 fitted with a 1116 clasp.
If it can be of some help here is a detail of mine 1116.

I think you might be right. The taper is so minor that I'm wondering if it's basically several of the "middle" links together for length or something. There are a total of 23 links including 5 removable ones.

There's an excellent thread on the forum called 7707 to 1171, which has an overview of these vintage bracelets. It includes the measurements of the final links so you should be able to reference that to determine if you have the smaller, 19mm 1098.

What kind of end link does it have? They should be 575. Can you post a pic?

Thanks for the referral Davidt. I'd previously bookmarked that and forgotten. Much appreciated. In looking at the thread and MWO, it does appear to either be for the 1098 or is at least missing the top link or two to match the 20mm width since there is almost no taper.

End links marked 575. Not sure if they are original or not.

It certainly isn't right as there is too much of a jump between the final link and end link.

As you say it's probably a 1098 or is possibly missing the final couple of links.

Thanks. It's really a shame, came from Europ and took forever to arrive. I usually catch these things but hey, lesson learned. Let the fun Ebay return process begin. Thanks again.

If they are original then they are later replacements....
this is how they should look like:
