Hi folks, I need some opinion on which watch to buy... the focus in based on the look and resale value.

My grail watch is this 1950's Omega Seamaster Waffle Dial but I can't find it (anybody has one I'd be interested in buying)... if I buy A or B below and this same one pops up, I'd sell to get my grail watch. What I like is the clean look, waffle and white....



A) But in the interim, I have a chance to buy this bumper automatic version below but not sure I like the minute track. Note I've been told the lighting is off and the dial is as white as the grail watch.



B) At the same time, this original 1948 is also available, which has everything I like except no the waffle dial,



Would like to hear everyone's opinion on this? 1) What look do you like better and why A or B? 2) Which one would have better resale value... honestly not a driving factor, but I'd like to know as the intention would be to resell if my grail shows up.

 

I prefer option A - hard to beat the classic combination of beefy lugs, off-white waffle dial and breguet numerals in a steel case.

This is like picking a favorite child. Can’t you just have all of them and then keep the child you get along with best....er, I mean watch?

I like #2 as I love a minute track, but the numerals on #1 are awesome...but the last is a ‘48 in really good shape...yeah, I see your dilemma.

 

Oh, and if you choose one and want to pass on the rest, please share with us where those are so we can swarm in like piranha and snatch them up.

 

Thanks for pointing it out. What happened was I noticed the photos seemed to reshow themselves at the very end of the post. So I thought it was due to the attachment links so I deleted them.

Strange thing is after I deleted and went back in to check my inline photos showed up fine. Probably a caching thing in my browser.

Yes! You articulated my key issues better than I did... though I'm not a huge fan of the minute track. The first one is my grail watch and I can't find any for sale yet.

Ah, that's useful. Instead of circle thingy I call it a minute track. Thanks... updating my post to use proper terminology.
