I have been pursuing a Rolex Explorer II with a polar dial recently. I am planning on purchasing this one shortly. I know it is not perfect or mint, but I just wanted to know from the experts here if there are any red flags I am missing.

Thank you all in advance!

Hi - lugs look too round to my liking, been poorly polished. This is not a rare reference, I’d hold out for something nicer.

too hard polished, I don't know the price they offer, but I suggest to search for something in better condition.
In pic mine, never polished (I've searched it for long time)

Nice! The watch is being offered right around 4k. So it is on the lower end for the reference to my understanding. I figured it was a little over polished, but the price has me thinking about it.

Box and papers?

Case is definitely in better condition, but the pitting/granular puffy indices are a concern to me. Like the others have said, this isn't a rare watch, and you can find really great ones for not much of a premium over very average examples. I understand if your budget doesn't allow it, but if it's a grail or something you really want to buy and hold for the long run, you'll be much happier paying a bit more for a nice one.

On the other hand, if you're a serial flipper or you plan to beat on it, than maybe it's not a bad play to get one of the lower priced/more polished examples.

Not a grail for me by any means, and I can’t say how long I plan on keeping it. Although, I wouldn’t call myself a serial flipper.

Thank you though for the advice. It is much appreciated.
