Hi, this is a Vulcain Valjoux 22 chronograph dial. Initially, I thought it was a redial. But when my watchmaker zoomed in on the details of the dial, my thinking changed. It appears to be an original dial. What do the experts here think? Thanks
In know that dials from that era were not as precisely printed as dials are today, however I think this an older redial.
The tiny nick on the edge of the dial at 3 o'clock (use to index the dial for multiple colours).
The alingnment of Swiss Made.
The inconsistent weight to lettering and minute/second marks on the main and sub-dials.
Note that this is only my opinion based on the examples you've provided as I have no experience with vintage Vulcain chronos.
