Hi i have an rare 1935 OMEGA 28.9 CHRO mens vintage chronograph watch!

Been told is unpolished with a stainless steel case of 33.5mm diameter and with snap back. 39mm from lug to lug.

Watch reference CK 710.

Manual-winding chronograph movement OMEGA calibre 28.9.

Amazing white enamel dial with mulicolor scales and arabic numerals.

What do you think about it?

Thank you in advance for your help

Greetings

I think it's very nice.
🥰
Pity about the chip on the dial at 1000 marker, maybe somebody in the past tried to lever the movement out of the case.
But as you can hardly see it when the crystal/bezel are on it doesn't matter that much.

And yes, I think it is all original, and I think it needs a service.

Here is the reference in AJTT.

I had one of these many years ago, sorry that I ever sold it. It's worth getting if the price is right, including a badly needed overhaul.

I don't think its all original.... the seconds register and chronograph counter hands are not original.

Both look too long.

Are the hands in @JimInOz 's post, those pictured in AJTT, also not original?

Why do you tell us this is your watch when its not yet?

Perhaps out of fear that somebody else would snatch it once vetted by the experts. Quite understandable, but I would assume - maybe naively - that all members respect the unwritten code of honor that the OP who made the effort of seeking advice has the first shot, and only when he/she explicitly releases it to the wild, can others go after the prey.

If you write "Hi i have an rare 1935 OMEGA 28.9 CHRO mens vintage chronograph watch!" it means exactly that it is yours.

And, did you buy it, i.e. is it "yours" now? 😉

I would not assume that for one minute. Not only are there many lurkers here, there are also probably many who just hang around looking for oportunistic low hanging fruit, be that in the sales section or from new members arriving with a grandad's watch.

Yeah, more wishful thinking.
