Help to identify vintage Omega 1920s

Hi all, following my father's passing last year I have been sorting through some of his things and have come across an old Omega watch, from what I found online I thought the date to be 1923, but a dealer I contacted for further info has said 1928.

Apart from the age I've not been able to find put anything further regarding the watch and was hoping someone on here may be able to shed some light on the details and an approximate value?

Any help appreciated.

The Birmingham date letter "D" indicates 1928/1929, this would be more accurate than the various Omega charts floating around the internet.
It's an English case in 9 carat gold by Dennison with an Omega caliber 26.5 I think, not sure of the variant (maybe a 26.5T2?).

As to value, 9ct gold melt value is easily outbid by sentimental value.

It's a really beautiful watch, with what appears to be an enamel dial - in very nice condition! I know you likely wont want to sell it - but if you do feel like it - dibs! 😀

Thanks Ollie, it is a very pretty thing and you're right, it is in great condition, the clarity on the face is superb. It is, or at least was, for sale, someone messaged last night and came and bought it today!

It is amazing to realize this thing is roughly 100 years old and still functions. Even more, some people buy birth year watches and this could be already a 2-generation watch.
