    Hi guys,

    I need a bit expertise to identify this Seamaster before I pull the trigger. I assume it´s from 70´s, any idea of the ref. number? Something important to know about these quartz pieces? I have a soft spot of these "tv dials" and would be nice to get one to my collection. :whistling:

    As usual, the seller is not providing the best pics.

    Most folks on this forum would encourage you to look for a mechanical watch instead of a quartz watch. Although quartz watches can last a long time, they cannot be easily repaired when they finally fail. Instead, the entire movement often must be replaced, and that assumes you can find a replacement that fits.

    If you like the 1970s TV dial aesthetic, try searching for "TV dial" on this forum to see some alternative ideas. You should be able to find a variety of late-model TV dial automatics at reasonable prices (although I say this without knowing your budget.) Have you looked at the Sales Forum?
