Help to Identify Old Reference

Hi everyone,

I recently inherited a watch that was from my great grandfather. He bought it after many years of hard work when his plumbing business started to thrive. I do have some other modern watches (Nomos, Tudor) and I've always loved vintage omegas but I've always find it a huge mess to understand the different lines.

I've been trying for the last couple of months dig into this particular watch history but I cannot find another picture of it -despite many many hours in this forum-. So far, my best guess is that I am dealing with some jumbo from the late 40s -early 50s. However, I know for another family watch that at that time in Spain these watches were very rare and usually they put omega movements in non-omega cases.

I would be very grateful if you as experts could help me.
Thanks so much!

It's possible it's a foreign cased watch. This was often done to lower import taxes.

Omega would export movements to many countries where they would be cased by local manufacturers.

All of the information should be found inside the watch.

Thank you so much. I have tried to open it but I haven't the proper tools. I will find a trustworthy watchmaker around Madrid and let you know

With that many arabic indices, the dial looks UK spec but that isn't the usual 13322 Dennison case so maybe it isnt UK at all.

Yes! My goal is to introduce it in my rotation
Thank you!

So many threads, my dad's, my uncle's, my mom's and I want to sell it.

What the hell is wrong with you people?

I know, not everyone feels the same way. But I applaud you wanting to honor your great-grandfather.

Some people might rather not be reminded of certain late relatives. Says more to me about the deceased than it does the person who's ready to move on.

Ah, good point. I did not think of that.
