Help To Identify New Watch!

Hello All,

Whilst wandering through town today, i found this in an old second hand shop - the box was pretty beat up - red leather is almost all gone, but it still had its original cards and papers, and the movement on the hands looks sound - but i have no idea what model I've just blown my hard earned cash on!

According to the papers, it was bought in 1997 - and the chronometer cert is dated copyright 1993, but the model info has rubbed away!

I've attached a few photos - does anyone know what kind of sea master this is?

If we can figure out what it is, I'll know if I payed over the odds for it or not 馃榾

It's a Seamaster 120m, first issued in 1993, with a cal 1109 movement.

Sharper photos would help if you want comments on condition, authenticity, etc.

I have no idea what it might be worth. Despite it being an interesting development in Omega's waterproofing of this style of watch, it doesn't appear to be an in demand model.

Edit: we must have posted at the same time. That is the model I was referring to. The two watches on the left of the Omega pic are quartz. Yours is the one on the right, which is mechanical.

thanks SpikiSpikester

I paid 拢600 for it, the watch itself looks in good condition, it just the box that's very beat up - the red leather is all rubbed off - looks like water damage maybe - we had floods in hull about 10 years ago, so i'd guess water damage.

I'm planning on keeping it as a second watch to my current aqua terra, and i checked all of the tell tale bits- the way things are printed / stamped, against my aqua terra when i bought it - So it looks real to me, but then again, i'm not expert.

The serial number matches the cert, and is stamped from a jeweler in Manchester, dated 1997, but i'm aware these watches can sit in stock rooms for quite a while so i don't think that's something to be worried about.

Just wanted to make sure i didnt get ripped off.

At that price with Auto movement, I think you are OK. I like the model, the blue dial is nice, the Bond bracelet, while dated still looks charming.
If the waterproof is in good condition, you won't worry even the watch get flooded.

As for the box, you can buy new ones from taiwan producer in eBay for usd 65 complete with operating manuals and card wallet
