    Hey.

I need some help identifying a watch which I think is something very similar to the OT 2714 18k gold version. On the picture you can see that it has other type of numbers and numbers inside the sub second. I have recently had it for repair and is now fully functional.
Anyone have an idea of the value of this beautiful piece? I hope the picture is clear enough.

    Link on the ot2714:

    in advance

your assumption is incorrect - IMHO this watch is an example of Ref. OT 2371

we are not appraisers here. for value browse sold lots on ebay or use google to find results

Are you sure it's OT 2371 because I find nothing about that not even on omega database?

To be honest - I would need to see a movement picture to tell for sure if it was 2371 - should have a cal. 361 inside...

Thank you for replying, much appreciated! :)
I've taken better photos now from all sides. Atm I'm unable to open up and see inside. I can go back to the place where I got it serviced recently to have him to open it for me and show me ( no way I'm risiking doing it my self ). The person that made the service have 45 years of experience, he told me that it should be at least 60 years old and that it doesn't have shock absorbers or before the time they made shock absorbers inside. Including that it's 18k gold. I have received it recently from my now deceased grandfather that had the watch from around 1950 ish. He lived and worked in Poland all his life, but could had easily have bought it in another country.
Not that I questioning anyones knowledge, because I know nothing but based on searched I find it hard to find some information about the OT2371 with a cal 361 and yet alone anyone that sells something looking similar to this one. If you have a link of some sort that would be awesome!
Btw Is it true that the 361 Cals did in a fact have shock absorbers?

Picture of the insides will be posted soon.

    Thanks in advance
    Patrick

I think this is your watch - and also in pink gold... I am pretty confident about this given the size of your watch...

    2371_cal_361.jpg

It houses the smaller cal. 361 opposed to the larger Cal. 30 T2 which was used in similar case design.

Here is the similar OT 2372 which has a 30 T2 SC (center second) inside

    2372_PG.jpg

Should your watch house a 30 T2 instead of cal. 361 this would be a different story then and most probably a different ref.

You will have to have it opened by your watchmaker for exact determination - take photos of the movement and the inner case back then and show them here.

    hope this helps

Hi again. Long time no see. I finally got it open at my watch store. Maybe you can tell me all the information about it by the pictures.

    Best regards Patrick

On the back plating under the "Swiss made" there is the following:

    W or H 25255
    Human head logo
    18k gold 0.750
    10429737
    Square box with 141

On the caliber/ on the watch:
    30T2
    15 jewels
    9039085

And it seems it is a 30T2 movement.

    Took some time, eh :)

it is a ref 2371 - I found it in an old Omega catalogue 2371.jpg

    to add:

the description in AJTT is wrong as it describes it to have a cal 361 which is definitely an error.
As you can see from the catalogue description it has a cal 30 (or most likely a 30 T1 going by your serial#)

All I can add is that your watch possibly dates to 1948 (+/- a few years).

The 9 million serials started in 1936 and were used in low production batches up until about 1950.
Your case serial number (10 million sequence) commenced in 1943.

Your gold case was made for Omega by Gabus Frères, Oracier S.A. of Le Locle Switzerland. They were active from 1934 until 1980.

An extract of the archives will tell you more.

It does look like this will be your best bet. Having come this far / taken four years you may as well finish the journey ;0)
