Hi there, I am new to the group, I have three modern omega watches and this old model. Have been told it’s a 1947 After having it refurbished but can’t find any more info on it anywhere. Any insights would be appreciated.

A picture of inside the case back should reveal the reference number, then a picture of the movement should reveal the caliber and serial number to date it.

The fonts appear to be 1950’s if original especially the hook “S”

The dial Appears original, I like the serifs, please post hi Rez pictures in good lighting so we can help further.

I’d understood that Seamasters were first introduced in 1948. So, I’m sceptical that it’s a 1947 watch and expect the serial number will reveal that it’s a 50s watch.

Whilst it may be a redial, it’s a really old one and I’m happy to defer to @TexOmega and others as to originality.

The stainless second hand should be gold coloured to match the leaf hands.

I’m not an expert on crowns but I’d have expected a thinner crown.

1948/49 period

My guide says 1947 - 11,000,000

1950 - 12,000,000

If 1948-9.......Wasn't that prior to the hook "S" font?

swap in movement or a redial, if so.

Looks nice either way

Wear it and enjoy

Regarding the hands, doesn't the dial have lumed numerals?
