Generally, the less work you'll want to put into finding a watch, the more you'll pay. I find omegaenthusiast.com has some good examples, but the prices are generally MUCH higher than what you'll find here on OF. Shucktheoyster, analog/shift, Blackbough. Teddy Baldassarre has a good video on different online marketers who have good examples, see below (but again, they're generally marked up compared to what you'll pay on forums/ebay). You can get good deals on eBay, but you need to know what you're looking for and how to spot re-dials, polished cases, frankenwatches, etc. As
@Foo2rama mentioned,
@ConElPueblo wrote a very good beginners guide on how to spot an honest watch for yourself on ebay. It can be helpful to aim for a "cheaper" watch to start out, as practice. My first vintage watch was a Seiko Lord Matic that I bought on eBay for $100 CAD. You don't wanna go all out to start with, since mistakes will be made. Better to make them with less money in the game
