i am in contact regarding a purchase of an Omega Tresor cal. 266 ref. OT 2687 18K, rare honeycomb dial with original 18K buckle and extract of the archives in near to mint condition, and want to know a little more about the authenticity of the item (dial manipulation / refinish expecially) as well as realistic price tag.
it looks not white but yellowish dial for me, all indexes are right and in marks look percise - so i think is an original (as the guy stated that the watch is original in any of it's parts - even the acryllic crysteal bears the omega logo on center). it was offered for me for $3800. i know the price tag is high and i dont care paying high values as long as they are not lightyears of distance from reality. how much a watch like this could be solt at? 3K, 3.5K? please note it is a solid gold, rare combination with the honeycomb dial, (i guess, would like to hear from you) all original besides the leather strap (buckle is 18K omega but not pictured) AND with extract of the archives. every detail looks correct for me.
i would highly appreciate your opinion regarding authenticity and realistic value / pricing.
also, are those case recession cuts for disassembly / service are damaged or is it just some dirt? i'm not sure if they've got any marks from non-gentle opening or is it just some dirt.
thanks a lot!

To me this looks all correct, case, dial hands, crown etc. it would be useful to see the buckle - as these have value in their own right. I would say that the watch head on its own is worth around $2500-3000 in my opinion. If you could haggle and get it closer to the $3000 mark I think it would be relatively fair price. But lets see what others have to say.

I have nothing to add here other than I think this is a beautiful watch, and I wouldn't think 3k is out of line for a solid gold (with gold buckle) honeycomb dialed watch.

Also, I supposed, if it's worth $3k from collector to collector, you must account for a dealer premium if a dealer. You know how that goes.

Looks good! If you were really worried about the dial, you'd need to see it in the flesh to be sure.

That is a beautiful watch. Those, at 37mm, are so wearable and of course, also collectible.

I've had a 2620 Tresor in the past. 38mm, 18k, with a 265 movement, and I suspect a redial. Sold it for $2k on eBay last year.

Yours has a decently sharp case, dial looks beautiful, and the movement too. As others said, if you can bring it down to $3k, it's a solid purchase.
