    Hi,
I am look to purchase my first vintage Omega watch.
Can somebody please advise if it looks real or fake.
The seller has 100% rating altough he doesnt accept returns. I have email the seller to confirm if parts of the watch are original (just to have that in writing) and received and answer that all parts are indeed original.
If I was to purchase this watch and take it to an Omega dealer and it was found to be fake, would I get my money back via ebay guarantee?
    Many Thanks!

Looks perfectly ok and all original from these pictures. Not collectable enough to be worth faking outright.

Relax Egor. This watch is not commonly faked. It all looks correct from the pics. Just needs a new crystal and cleaning. If this is indeed an ebay auction, you have all the power. If it is not as described, then you simply let the seller know and I'm sure he will work with you, otherwise, you file a claim with ebay and you will win.

FWIW, when I sell on ebay, I always list as no returns to keep away the indecisive tire kickers who buy on a whim then change their minds after keeping my item for a few weeks ;)

    What's the asking price?

These are not highly desirable models as noted above, so we wouldn't want you to overpay.

Price is at the top end of acceptable for this model IMO. Besides the crystal you should factor in about £150 for a service. If you want the watch I would try and get it down to £250. There is nothing wrong with it but if your tastes develop in a different direction, they are not easy to move on. This movement series came immediately after the 750 series, which is usually considered the last of Omega's "great" non-chronograph movements.

Very, very correct, IMO. Besides the whole "not very desirable" there is the issue of the bracelet - due to the case construction, you are either stuck with the current bracelet or you have to get a custom made leather strap, which is much more expensive than generic leather straps of a comparable quality.
