Hi everyone.. any ideas on this watch ?? Is it worth holding onto .. I believe it to be from 1938 that’s all I can found out and belonged to my father .

Sorry no info on the particular watch but as soon as you mention “belonged to my father” I call that an heirloom and get it serviced by a reputable watchmaker

Hi Sue,

Only you can answer the question "Is it worth holding on to?", and of course there is no requirement that anyone keep an item simply because it was once owned by a deceased family member.

The watch has some value, but, for a variety of reasons, it is limited. If you choose to sell it, it would probably best to do so "as is", and through an auction.

That were mine, I would defininitey be keeping it! In fact, I would repair it and wear it. Those watches are ideal for women because their small size does not overwhelm.
