    Hey,
Anyone have any opinions or potential information to share on this watch, judging by the pictures? All I know is that it is in need of repair, no other information is given. Pictures of the movement are not an option. The dial and bezel seem to be mint, although i can see what seems to be a bit of rust or water damage? on the lower right quadrant of the dial.

Any guesses at the year, movement, and value?

    Any help would be apprecaited!
    thanks,
    Kendrick

1039 bracelet is nice, I'd guess a 145.022-69 or thereabouts. Dial patina looks nice and even, hands look nice, clean, service new plexi and its good to wear.

Needs cleaning and crystal, as stated, but the good ones all need some cleaning. Price?

Not working is one thing, not working and not seeing the movement makes me a little leery. Ok, a lot leery. It might just need service or you could end up have to put $1000+ in to it.

Ditto. If the movement is rusted up, you're up the creek.

    Without a paddle.

The rust around the retainer ring at the edge of the dial make me believe passing on it is the correct action unless you can see a pic of the movement.

I'm real new at this Speedmaster thingy but I would pass on it. If I'm not incorrect this appears to be a 69'. Like cicindela has linked to, there are a number of better condition 69' Speedmasters for sale on the bay and various other forums. I would try to add a couple hundred dollars to your budget and get one in better condition with a little more of its history reveled. From my recent observations the 69's pop up pretty regularly, almost every other day or so.

thanks guys. I think I'm going to take the advice and pass. I wasn't sure if if the dial looked clean or was rusted/damaged as the first and second picture seemed contradict each other.
