With my untrained eyes I looked at this 145.012-67 and could not find anything wrong with it other than the end links which I think should be 516 (and needing service). I asked the seller, who have no knowledge on when/why the replacement end links were installed. The asking price was around SP101 "Good." Please help with pointing out possible red flags that I miss. I don't know if I can copy the seller's images so here is the URL: https://www.ebay.com/itm/1967-OMEGA...549528?hash=item2865610758:g:dZwAAOSwPJxbhZ~cPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network Thank you for your help.
It looks nice to me, but I wouldn't buy into all the BS about the watch never having been opened previously. There are scratches all over the balance cock, presumably from a monkey trying to regulate the movement.
I'd expect mint condition for a watch that was "worn a handful of times in the 1960s then stored in a climate controlled safe deposit box ever since." Must have been rough on it the few times it was worn. If they lie about this, what else are they lying about?
I'd point out to the seller that the watch lacks the correct 1039 bracelet, and offer him a price for the head only. $7k maybe a good place to start. Overall nice watch..
