Hi everyone I stumbled about these two beauties while browsing a vintage Jewellery store - the woman in charge didn't know a lot about the watches and I was wondering if someone here can help ( Reference, Caliber etc ) The pink gold one is from 1947, the steel one from 1955 Thank you!
I doubt that either dial is original. Also, steel hands and markers in a gold case? Nope. These are almost certainly "refinished" watches.
They are refinished, but I have seen a lot worse looking “restorations”. Is the pink one solid gold, or plated? You may need to open it up to find out. All comes down to price. gatorcpa
I asked for better pics because I have doubts as well - in particular concerning the first dial. But I would prefer better pics before giving a clear opinion.
I agree with Francois. The first dial seems an obvious and poor redial. Please correct me if I am wrong . The giveaway is the numerals larger and outside the number ring. Tony also makes a good point about the hands. Stainless with gold and gold with stainless?
