Hello to everyone. I need your help. I recently got a watch from my dead father and I don't know if it is real or fake. It works with battery. I want to know also the model of the watch if possible. Thanks in advance. Christos Christodoulou

Sorry to say it's fake... if it came from your father though maybe worth keeping. (Looks like it's a 7750 based "replica")

(The watch person in me: Yikes! Destroy with fire!)

Firstly, my condolences on the passing of your Dad.

Secondly, the watch is a bad fake and not worth much at all.

Thanks for the info. What are the clues identifying it is fake?

There are many, but a co-axial movement does not use (or need) a battery.

If you google images Omega planet ocean chronograph blue you'll see that there's none that has a date at 4 and subdial at 6.
Also after a while, you'll see that there's the exact same watch you have on a fake watch store site...

The best way to know if you question the authenticity because of cosmetics is to look at the movements. Have a watch maker do this.

Point of order here….I’m not into these but before we take a hammer to this watch, open it to see whats inside. Other than the battery theory, what other fake flags are there? The OP asked politely.
@Christoscc87 why do you think this takes a battery?

Lume pip on the bezel is poorly executed compared to the one on the Omega site which is centered.

Dial execution is pitiful. The subdials are particularly odious when compared to any Omega chronograph I've ever seen in person or depicted here on the Forum.

the co-axial movement is a self-winding movement. it's the antithesis of quartz and battery.
the typography of the numbers is very coarse compared to the Omega sites and the chrono24 models

It’s one of those that you can tell quite quickly it’s fake even if your a minor league watch guy like myself. I’m not into reps and don’t particularly care for what they do for watches in generally but tbh if it was your fathers and runs ok with a battery I’d hang on to it and wear it on occasion just because it’s a family thing. Sorry about your dads passing.

A couple of things to note:

Look at the font in the 50 compared to yours and the link you sent

Look at the difference between the splines of the chronograph pusher between yours and the link you sent

And, look at the difference between the triangle/lume pip in the bezel, the location of the top two sub dials compared to coaxial, and the spacing between the sub dials

There is more to note, but these are a few
