Hello, I'm a new member here. I have been desperately wanting to buy a vintage Omega for a long time. Now, I found one that looks very nice but I'm not sure if it's authentic or not. I tried comparing the images the owners sent me and it seemed legit but I really don't know so I would like to ask for opinions from you all. Thank you so much in advance.
Looks tidy generally, but there is a rotor scuffing mark on the inner case back and signs of wear at the sharp end of the rotor bevel, indicating rotor bearing or post issues at some stage. 300 is fine if the watch has had any issues with the rotor repaired.
That's way lower than I had imagined. Looks to be a good first buy The 552 movement is a really nice one and definetely worth a service. Be aware that the buckle is an aftermarket (fake) reproduction.
Mine says hello. I also got my first Omega from a dealer, for a higher price, with a fake buckle. Need to source an original one asap.
Oh.. yes, I also noticed that it looks a bit big and weird. The seller wrote in the description that 'only the watch' is authentic so I guess it's probably fake. Thank you so much for the reply!
