Okay i just bought a Omega Automatic with the cal. 1480 that has the quickest date by repeatedly pushing of the crown. The question i have is how do i correctly remove the crown and stem from the watch movement so i can replace this aftermarket crown with the original crown that i purchased but just waiting for it to come in. I know on my tissot watches to remove the crown and stem on the 2824 and 2846 is different which i found that out the hard way so i just wanna ask on here before i even begin trying to take this crown and stem out to unscrew this aftermarket crown. Please someone help me with this issue. Thanks so much.
If you are asking about something this simple, my advice would be to take this to your watchmaker. Cheers, Al
Well i just dont know if the crown and stem needs to be in the 1st or 2nd position to remove it from the movement. We had one watchmaker here in this town and guess what they have had my tissot PR50 automatic for 4 months now just to put the crown and stem back in the movement! All i was wanting to know from people on here is which position does the crown need to be in on the omega before i remove it. Thats all
