Hi, All.
I picked this up for not a lot on a car boot sale last season as it looked OK.
And I still think it's OK but I cannot find the maker who uses a flashy looking capital letter B.
The logo is on the winder as well as to the left of the face and it's on the case back but I have been unable to identify the maker.
So I am asking fellow OF members to help in IDing this watch.
Thanks in advance.
Joe.

I checked Mikrolisk, probably the best online source for trying to identify trade marks, and there are several dozen firms who use a B trademark, but no trade mark is shown. Amongst the dozens who use the B that show trade marks, no trade mark resembles yours. Conclusion? A generic watch built out of “off the shelf” parts, assembled by a broker for a wholesaler or retailer who used that trade mark.

Or even a promotional item. The logo could be from any company, made as a gift to employees.

Can you provide any info on the movement used in the watch?

Who would pay for a signed crown If it's a generic or a promo? The case seems to be intended for such things though. Also there is more to that logo, there seems to be an "h" and what is crossing the "B" from 9 o'clock to 1:30?

A photo straight onto the dial would help a lot, macro if possible.

If it's European it could be something French. Otherwise probably Chinese but stylised to look non-Chinese.

More photos might help. From various angles.

yes I agree it would be unlikely a promo watch would also have a matching signed crown and that there may be more to learn from the various components of that logo as there appears to be more to it than a "B". a pic of the back side may help as well.

I actually think it looks more like a stylised R rather than a B. It is not joined at the bottom loop
Just a thought

Do you see yonder cloud that’s almost in shape of a camel?

By th' mass, and ’tis like a camel indeed.

Methinks it is like a weasel.

It is backed like a weasel.

Or like a whale.

Very like a whale.

Yes, could well be an "R" with a tail that comes back around to form the "h" I thought I saw. If it is triple signed (dial, crown, back) it is not a cheap job.

@jove14 More photos please!

Hi.
I have some extra photos as requested.
But having took off the case back and had a look at the nasty cheap movement I now know the watch is crap!
Still they went to a lot of trouble in putting the logo on the crown face and back.
Thanks for all your help.
Joe.

I would disregard the logo under the "R" and throw it in the trash.

OTOH, it could be a good way to wind up any watch-snob mates 😎

The logo looks like it has a flintlock pistol at the upper left.
