I'll be spending a few days there in August along with Mrs. Flies. Having never been, I'm soliciting the usual: What to do, what to eat , where to go and not go. The mode of transport will be automobile and it will be available during our stay. We're looking for stuff to do and places to go. Any and all sorts of things will be considered. Watch shops? Is street crime something which is owed vigilance above and beyond?

Also...an informal poll. I will take one watch. One watch only. Any thoughts or suggestions. And yes...only one. Thanks in advance.

have fun

Lots of great options you’ve got there but the AT is an ultimate all-arounder

I'd vote the AT.

As for what to do...

Sailing charter
Eat crabs (drive over to Kent Island for that)
Walk around downtown

AT. My go to travel watch. Not flashy enough to get mugged over. 😁

Can recommend a visit to the US Naval Academy campus while you're in the area.

Paging @Annapolis 😎

Plan on it being jam-packed. Plenty of restaurants but most don't need to be that great to do killer business due to all the people hanging out there in the summer. Blue crabs are popular, and eating at a real crab restaurant can be an experience if yo have not done it before. But prices for crab are sky-high again this year ($75+ for a dozen). Find a Ceremony Coffee is you like good coffee/ espresso.

It is a nice scenic area. Do whatever you can to get some time crusing on a tour boat.

You will only be 45 minutes from DC, so there's always a possibility of pulling together a few OF members.

Being a Maryland resident for 35 years, I’ll give you a key piece of advice be prepared for the heat and the humidity. It’s unlike anywhere else even compared to Florida. July is the worst so you’re a little bit safer being in August. Just like some others have said, the Naval Academy is great and also the small shops up and down the streets. A great breakfast joint is called Mrs. Shirley’s Cafe. If I think of some other spots I’ll post them

Passing by the United States Naval Academy on Severn River ?
A date window is always convenient during (long) travels 😉
