Hi omega enthusiasts! I need some help. I recently got the omega planet ocean 8500 orange bezel and black face orange numerals 42mm. Already planning my next watch and am on the short list for a brand new rolex sub hulk. Here is my issue. I wear my planet ocean in blue jeans a lot and I think it looks okay. Just something sporty. I definitely wear a lot of blue and am considering the omega 8605 good planet ocean gmt blue with orange on a blue strap. I cannot buy both the hulk and the onega gmt. I dont really care to match my watch to my outfits. I do however like it all to kind of gel and not look odd. I feel like since I wear so much blue the omega gmt is the better option and drf cheaper. Ive just always wantes the hulk and it is so cool and different. What should I do guys. Sorry if this post is all over the place. Oh and here is a pic of my orange bezel planet ocean.
IMHO that works with blue... Do you have any watches that work in dressier situations? Why double up watches that are interchangeable.
Get the Hulk. You have a nice PO already. It'll look great with jeans too and can also dress up nicely too.
I can't imagine buying a Submariner in all green. Just get a regular black model and do worry about it.
I've been wondering about that myself. I didnt want to buy two planet oceans. But my wife is making me think the blue looks better with the blues I wear. Debating selling my orange bezel po now and getting the blue instead and the hulk.
If you wear blue a lot, it is a colour which is very easy to match with many colours, including the green Hulk. Green and blue are considered analagous colours. If you already have a Omega PO, there is no point to get another one which looks like it. I would definitly go for the Hulk.
My point is why 2-3,divers. The Orange PO, good planet and hulk are able to be worn interchangeably. Why not go for a dress watch?
I would say it depends on the budget. I love my Reverso (granted it's a sport watch historically and mine is only so dressy). Anyway, if you have the money I'd get a Lange. Otherwise on a smaller budget a Rolex Oyster Perpetual in 34-36mm size.
Cartier drive or tank MC in steel are relatively affordable dress watches. Big bucks, I’d go Vacheron, A. Lange, or something off the wall like FP Journe or Urban Jurgensen.
Love that strap on your PO. I don't think the Hulk would look bad being worn with blue jeans. Green and blue look okay together and the Hulk is a cool conversational piece since it will most definitely catch peoples eyes.
I agree. It also doesn't have the weird deployant buckle that Cartier likes to use with the folded leather.
