    Hi.
I am pretty new here and hope to get some help on search of my first vintage omega. One of the watches I was considering is ref.101.009-65. From the photo I got from Christie’s, I saw that the index is done with onyx inlay (pic 1), however one seller’s watch I saw online (pic 2) appeared that the index at 4,5 o’clock are either faded (painted on?) or fell off. Does it appear normal to you, anything that I should worry about this dial? Thank you

Thanks for the help and sharing of your experience
I looked at the photo closer. Also checked with the seller. We thought the index seemed to be printed on instead of a onyx inlay? Is there possibility omega has the index printed in black on top of the Golden index

Got another angle, seemed really could be a possibility that onyx became more transparent

You need a high quality pics to figure out if it is black paint or onyx.

Black paint may faded, onyx may be translucide brownish with direct light on it
