    Hallo everyone,
my name is Reinhardt from Germany.
First, sorry for my bad english, still a foreign language to me....

I am a complete novice in Omega watches so I need some advice for this Constellation.
I inherited it from my Grandfather, but neither he, nor my dad ever talked about ``expensive`` watches, as we just couldn´t afford one...

    So my questions are:
    >Fake or no Fake?
    >Any idea what it`s worth
    ,

I went to a local Watch-Store, he was so kind to open the watch an made those pictures. Sadly he couldn`t tell me anything about the Constellation itself.
So thanks in advance for your help!
    Reinhardt

Look legitimate. Probably not hugely collectable (i.e. valuable), but since gold you should get a bit more above scrap value.

Omega Constellation c-shaped automatic, certified chronometer.
    Model ref: 168.009g?
    Serial no: 24318235
    Caliber: 564
    24 Jewels

Produced in the 70s, 18k wristwatch with date and I suspect 18k bracelet. You should be able to search and get a more accurate year based on the serial no. The box, if yours? looks like it could be original to the watch but the watch pillow isn't

No idea on value, best bet is to browse sites such as eBay or Chrono24 for an idea of values of watches previously sold bear in mind that gold watches isn't everyone's choice of watch.

More importantly, get serviced and enjoy wearing it and try to find more history about it and your grandfather.

Edit: Apologies Reinhardt, unfortunately as new to collecting I wouldn't be able to help on if fake or not.

Nice Connie in pretty good condition.
    Dates to approx 66/67
Linen dial looks correct but I suspect the hands have been replaced or over-painted at some point, as they should have lume.

C-cases are rising in popularity but haven’t quite reached their peak yet and that is reflected in their current value.
18k C cases go for around £2k at auction.
If you add the desirable Milanese bracelet (assuming it’s also 18k) you must be talking £3k -ish. hope that helps.

That bracelet is 19 mm which is not interchangeable to 18 mm vintage Omega standard.
That's why it is not as valuable as such.

With the current high gold value, probably not.

I think I see lume on the second photo..?

If that's not lume, I'm not sure what it is.

Are the hands painted black or is it just the reflection?

Yes, it looks like lume. Bracelet looks like it has springbars and isn't integrated, which I guess means you could split them up... As others have said, not necessarily the most desirable model.
