Here's a starter from a non Ranchero expert:
Take a look at the font and compare it to some knownly genuine Rancheros.
You'll notice that most of the originals have a far more 'compressed' or 'vertically condensed' 3,6,9 and 12. You'll also notice, if you look closely, that the fonts, on the originals, have more finesse on their curves and rounds, sweeping around instead of curving in the uniform and mechanical way the font on your watch does.
Also the hour hand on the watch you just posted has no space for lume, the second hand has a red tip, and the crown is wrong.
All true, but other than that, how did you like the play Mrs Lincoln 🤣
The best is to stay away from that junker.
Please take this in the constructive way it’s intended, but if you can’t tell that that’s not a genuine Ranchero, you aren’t ready to buy one.
Thank you for the ones who gave a constructive criticism. That why I’m posting, because I have no experience with Rancheros at all. So I appreciate the input.
For the ones who thought it’s ok to say something silly, well I’m not gonna respond to trolls.
Cheers everyone 🙌🏽

This post makes me wonder - who had the smart idea to produce fake rancheros? Usually fakes come from demand of the real item and rancheros, correct me if I'm wrong, were not considered as "hot" items. I wonder from what "period" these fakes were being made, or are they a relatively modern creation?
As always - i enjoyed Dan S' "Another satisfied customer" responses. 😉
