    Welcome to the forum.

Your watch is genuine but not entirely original. The dial has been re-painted during its life. This wasn't unusual at that time as many owners though it "refreshed" the look of the watch.

The serial number indicates a date of about 1953. Your Caliber 266 (or 30T3) movement was introduced in 1950 and being very reliable should last for many years with proper care and servicing.

The gold plated case may have been locally produced in South America, this was the normal way at the time. Omega agents would import movements and have local watch case manufacturers make cases for them.

    Thanks for your answer!

Now, is there any way to know the model such as constellation or seamaster for example? Reviewing the information on the forum, many watches bring the serial number inside the back cover, but in this case the serial number is on the inside (13358509)?

Thanks again and for letting me and learn more.

I believe that the case is fake. The logo on the inside looks freshly engraved. I have never seen any Omega case with engraving like that on the outside of the caseback.

Unfortunately, all of South America is noted for assembly of fake and frankenwatches.

The only thing of value here is the movement, which is genuine.

I too believe that the case and case back are dubious. I can't say about the case but the case back is most likely not genuine.

The case itself doesn't seem to exactly reproduce the high quality that Omega watches have but I could be wrong.

Then again, perhaps South-Americans cases weren't as good as European ones.

I don't believe that Omega ever mentioned "fond acier inoxydable" which mean stainless steel caseback, it notice that the case is alloy with chrome or gold plated => mostly the Omega case are in stainless steel (same base for the gold plated ones) or solid gold (am I wrong?)
