well, so today I bring to you this Omega 2576-24, with a movement 14213056 cal 344.

As you may see in the photos it looks pretty good, with the ageing making a great work in my opinion.

I’m asking for opinions and tips BEFORE making the purchase. What do you think of it?

I look a little suspicious the Hour hand to be honest

IMO The hands look okay, but the whole dial and watch overall looks quite tired. For me personally unless the price was very very good I would keep looking for a better example

Hour hand looks honest to me, but I see a spot on the minute hand. Movement looks beautiful. Some pitting around the case back opening and what looks like remnants of a gasket that might be a concern. I believe it should have a back gasket and I don't see it there.

In terms of patina, and overall appearance, personally I think it's a rather attractive piece. Is it rose gold capped?

Hasnt there been signs of severe rotor rub also?
Best to check that this has been rectified before purchase

If you're expecting yellow gold, double check that with the seller. This looks like a rose gold cap to me, and the auction description doesn't specify the tone.

I just heard back from the seller, I asked if there's any damage, cracks, missing metal under that black gasket.

This is now a hard pass for me, I would only recommend this piece if you know a jeweler who you trust to laser weld or otherwise repair this mid case.

Good afternoon !!! I believe it is a bit of corrosion that is common in these models with almost 70 years old !!! the rwlogio is very beautiful and original too but if you think this is a problem I think it's better not to bid !!! have a great day and I'm sorry if I couldn't answer your question...thanks...flavio
