I purchase a vintage Geneve to fulfill a double purpose. One was to have a daily beater to wear. The second purpose was to use it as the first wristwatch I would repair. I'm currently being mentored with clock and watch repairs. The problem I have is the dial. As you can see in the pictures that there is a hole in the dial just above the 4 o'clock marker. This was the result of a previous owners attempt to remove the dial without loosening the screw holding the dial to the movement. They tore the foot from the dial. It now makes placing the dial on the movement and the movement in the case very difficult. I would like to place a Ad to try and buy a replacement dial but don't know what exactly I should be asking for. Could someone give me a model number and approx. date so I can use it to properly describe what I need? Thanks
There are a few dials available from Omega still for these... 064TT0838005P - silver with silver indices and date surround 064PT0838006P - silver with yellow indices and no date surround 064TT0838007P - yellow with yellow indices and no date surround 064TP0838013 - yellow with printed Breguet numbers and no date surround 064TP0838014 - yellow with printed roman numerals and no date surround You can always search eBay with these part number to see what is out there. Hope this helps. Cheers, Al
