Dial looks in really nice condition. Did it spend a lot of time in a safe I'm next in line after LouS.

 

Darn too slow, 3rd in line for the dibs!

 

I'm no expert, but if I were you I wouldn't buy it for $1.

Un-related, where did you find such a specimine?

 

Trying to learn here. So bear with me if I don't
know the variations of this dial.
The OP's dial looks different than the one I post here
in that the subdial background texture is concentric in
the OP example. In the one I post here there are
arcs that overlap the concentric circles much like the
Zenith logo has. Why doesn't this one have that.

Can you give any orientation regarding current prices? Would something around 10k be way too high for this model?
LouS, do you know what a correct serial number according to the database data should be?
Seller has not provided the serial yet, but it is an E serial number, which should be correct for 1971.

This is a very good watch.
Hard to find A3818 with dial and bezel in this condition.

 

The dial of A3818 need to be galvanic, and as others made so, got different colors with the light.
For me they are the best.

Very nice condition!
10k is a lot of money but prices are increasing fast so who knows...
I don't really know to price trend behind this ref but for sure I always consider that It worth paying more for a model in excellent condition as it will be even more valuable in the future.
And yours seems in very very good condition
