    Hey all!

My fiance has been going on about his grandpas watch he would like me to get restored as his wedding gift and I have no idea where to start. He said he would like the original band, and it looks like it needs a good cleaning. Having no knowledge on this stuff and being a woman, I dont want to get ripped off! Any advice?

As the saying goes... whatever you do, do *NOT* take it to Omega.
    Hard to help without pictures!

    Just google
Omega accreditation watchmaker in your area

As above not a Omega boutique

If you let us know where you live ( state, country ) someone might know of a good one close by

I think there is a very good watchmaker in Ontario :D

He may be very busy but you could try him.

Maybe he could reply here if he has time.

The watch dial looks in good order which is a big plus. The original band could have been either a leather strap or an Omega bracelet, most likely of the "beads of rice" type. These look good with stainless steel watches which I think yours is? but hard to be certain from the photos. For gold top my personal preference is a brown leather strap as I think gold-plated BORs are a bit tacky, just my opinion and others will differ.
