Hi it's me again. And again a question on a watch I found and an advice on buying it or not...
I promise, an introduction with some watch pictures of my treasures will follow soon ;-)

to the question: I found a Speedmaster Mark II with a loveley racing dial, an wanted to double check with your experts advice if it looks OK - pictures are from seller, so I don't have better ones, sorry.

    Thanks again for your help.

    Greetings
    Palo

The first pic shows a dial with T SWISS MADE T: original dial.
A better picture will defintely confirm it.
I had a couple of them and the tritium indices were similar.

thanks for your reply, unfortunately there is no better picture.

I am wondering about the two different orange small hands and on the "Speedmaster" writing on the back, which looks deeper than the horse. And on the inside of the back the "DDE BR. + 2750/67" I saw other engravings researching in the net.

but I am the opposite of an expert ;-)

It's not a fake. The different Orange sub dial hand colors is worrisome and affects price.

That's not going to be easy to resolve. Either new Orange hands that don't match the dial fade or a long hunt for aged Orange hands.

thank you for helping - I don't want to change anything, having it as original as possible - so if I would buy it, I guess I would leave it as it is. The question is: looking for a better shape (with all original) or take this one.
What I like is, that there is no polishing and the sunray polish is still in good (used) condition,

one more questions: reference number on the moverment is 48232xxx which is indication according to the ref table of production in '85?!?!

I think I get something wrong here, I thought the Mark II is late '60 early '70?

Sorry for the loads of questions..

You can't use that chart for 861 movements.

Looks like 78-80 production. Unless someone has mkii serial charts, as those might be different.

fratellowatches says "has serial numbers between 27,xxx,xxx and 35,xxx,xxx which ranges from 1969 to 1975" see link: https://www.fratellowatches.com/omega-speedmaster-mark-ii-145-014/

Chronomaddox says serial with 482 from '91 to '93 but does neither includes the 145.014 nor cal 861 serial 4823 see link: http://chronomaddox.com/romans.html

    I'am confused

really want to avoid a replacement movement...

it seems like there is a movement from the 80ies in a watch produced late 60ies to early 70ies, but I cannot find serial number section 48232xxx somewhere in a database

Romans list does not apply to 861 or 321 movements.
