I fell in love with this model and just found a decent looking piece for sale!

Any advice on what to look out for when buying such a piece? Price range? Anything??

It's around the corner and the price seems alright..,as good deals go fast I am looking forward to your replys!

All I can offer is jealousy. I hope things work out for you.

 

pics of the movement and caseback would be great! Id like to pay 3-3500 for such a watch but people ask 4-4500 currently for them with the price trending higher....case polish looks correct, dial is fine (many variants of the 3H and the 3H makes it more desirable). Bezel looks beat and hour hand lume missing would bother me lots.

 

The dial looks an original small logo with non cut-off font, even if it must have been "restored" or relumed in the past. Mine has the same dial, with the smaller 3H logo.
Check obviously that the movement runs, flyback is OK, and ask the seller what's the power reserve. If it is higher than 36 hours it means that the mainspring has been upgraded after it left the factory.
We would need more shots but it looks OK. Keep in mind they're very often non-original because the german watchmakers used to replace anything needs changing, but it's not a major issue for this specific model.
Also, check the serial number and the number on the caseback, the serial should be 3/4/6 digits.

I think it is a very fair market, considering almost none of these are perfect!
When you get it, do not forget to check the tightness of the screws that hold the movement in the case, it seems they tend to get loose and if you lose one it will be a pain

 

Great watch, looks all original to me! Mine is also all original with hands relumed!

 

Hey everybody- that went fast. I bought her from a really nice guy, we met at a gas station...

So, here she is. Has been sitting in a locker since the late 70ies, This might explain the excellent dial. As for the bezel- I like shot bezels...

How easy is it to replace the bezel? Don't see many on ebay.
